Prague Botanical Garden grows a great number of this medicinal plant species in its outdoor exhibition, including whole lavender field which makes you feel like you are in the beautiful region of Provence. Lavender grows primarily is the western Mediterranean, and the lavender fields in the southeast of France are a great tourist attraction.

24.2.2020 — 'Náplavka', meaning riverbank, refers to the embankment of the Vltava River between Palacký Bridge and Railway Bridge in Prague 2, a place where farmers' markets have regularly been held for 11 years. Even though it is not the largest in the Czech capital city, the market is unsurpassed with its friendly, relaxed atmosphere, which is one of the reasons that it is one of the most popular markets in the city. The 2020 season started in February, and the market is held every Saturday.

Support Czech culture by buying ‘Nothing’ tickets

7.4.2020 — A nationwide project to support theatres, concert halls, clubs and artists has been launched. 'NIC' tickets have been on sale since the 1st of April. 'Nic' means 'nothing' in Czech and that is the aim of this project - as cultural events cannot take place, cultural institutions and artists need your support. According to Hana Třeštíková, Prague City Councillor for Culture, Czech people are inventive, so instead of simply asking for donations, they came up with a plan to sell tickets for 'non-existing' cultural events, which will (not) take place on the 1st of May.

8.6.2020 — L'Institut français de Prague (French Institute of Prague) is holding an exhibition called 'Prague etc...' by Czech-French photographer Michael W. Pospíšil until the 4th of July. The exhibition is held at Gallery 35 on Štěpánská Street, part of the French Institute which supports connection between French and Czech art.

6.7.2020 — The VILA Štvanice Theatre has opened its outdoor summer venue, with the biggest stage located under the arch of the Hlávkův Bridge overlooking the park. The summer stage programme will include open-air theatre plays, concerts and movie screenings. The bridge's arch offers a shelter, so even bad weather cannot spoil the show!

19.3.2018 — Právě na dnešní den, na 19. března, připadá Mezinárodní den invalidů, jehož cílem je upozornit na bariéry, se kterými se nejen lidé se zdravotním postižením každý den potýkají. Magistrát hlavního města v rámci projektu Praha bezbariérová se otázkám odstranění překážek ve veřejné dopravě věnuje dlouhodobě. Společně s městskými organizacemi, zejména s Dopravním podnikem, Technickou správou komunikací, Institutem plánování a rozvoje, ale i za pomoci občanských sdružení navazuje na celosvětový trend budování udržitelného městského prostředí přístupného pro všechny.
