Projekt Blind Friendly Web slaví 10 let své existence

20.10.2010 — Projekt Blind Friendly Web (www.blindfriendly.cz) již 10 let „ukazuje“ tvůrcům webů, jak mají vypadat internetové stránky, aby informace, na nich uvedené, byly přístupné i uživatelům s těžkým zrakovým postižením. Seminář věnovaný tomuto výročí dnes proběhl pod záštitou PhDr. Milana Pešáka, radního hl. m. Prahy pro oblast zdravotnictví a RNDr. Jiřího Schlangera, náměstka ministra zdravotnictví pro koordinaci informačních systémů.

The City of Prague Museum reopens Prague’s towers

17.5.2020 — If you enjoy looking at the city from a great height, you will be pleased to know that the City of Prague Museum is reopening the most popular Prague towers. The Czech capital city is also known as the City of a Hundred Spires ('Stověžatá Praha'). Only a few people know exactly how many towers there are in Prague; however, it is certainly over one hundred. In Prague, towers of all kinds are everywhere, even in the least expected places.

Prague full of Jazz

1.4.2019 — In April, 'Mladí Ladí Jazz', the annual International Youth Jazz Festival in Prague, will bring seven evenings of concerts where world renowned stars will be performing, workshops and, of course, the traditional youth competition 'Jazzfruit'. The festival is looking for talents in contemporary jazz and the experimental scene from the Czech Republic and abroad, and introduce them to the public. Its main goal is to bring the attention of a young audience back to jazz music and restore traditions of this music in the Czech Republic.

Bio-waste of plant origin

20.10.2019 — Prague plans to expand the collection of plant-based bio-waste. Citizens who recycle bio-waste will save money. Bio-waste of plant origin currently accounts for up to 40% of mixed municipal waste in the Czech metropolis.

Prague co-organises ICGAI Congress

28.2.2020 — Prague City Council has recently approved for the city of Prague to participate in the organisation of the 1st International Congress for the Governance of AI (ICGAI/ Prague 2020). The subject of the congress will be the regulation and ethics of artificial intelligence.
