24.5.2019 — From the 26th of May to the 1st of June, rhythmic Roma music will sound throughout Prague as the 21st annual Romani festival, Khamoro, takes place. Khamoro ('sun' in the Roma language) is the biggest and the most famous professional Roma festival in the world. It has been held in Prague since 1999.

Prague will host international pole vault hall meeting
30.1.2019 — One of the most attractive athletic disciplines - the pole vault - will be presented at the international hall meeting Zimní Pražská tyčka on the 9th of February in Strahov. Zimní Pražská tyčka has been held yearly since 1996 and is a sister competition to the international athletics meeting Pražská tyčka. Of course, the best Czech athletes always take part in both meetings.

15.7.2019 — Prague Exhibition Grounds welcomes visitors to the summer season. Besides attractions for children, sports opportunities and picnic spots, a summer garden restaurant and a new bistro are also open. Now, visitors can enter the lower part of the Grounds directly from Stromovka. In addition to continuing works on bigger investment projects, smaller-scale improvements are gradually being completed.

Film and Architecture 2020 to unveil hidden stories
2.10.2020 — The 9th annual Film and Architecture festival, subtitled Hidden Stories, takes place from the 30th of September until the 7th of October. The themed film festival focusing on architecture takes place in several towns and cities in the Czech Republic. In Prague, the festival will screen twenty films about architecture, urbanism and design in the Světozor and CAMP cinemas. The screenings are supplemented by lectures and panel talks.
First stand up paddle board race in Prague
30.6.2019 — From the 5th to the 7th of July, a unique stand up paddleboard race (SUP) will take place in the historical centre of Prague, on the Vltava River near Střelecký Island ('Střelecký ostrov'). The first official SUP race in Prague is part of the tenth anniversary of the biggest European series, The Euro Tour. In addition to racing, the weekend will be full of sport opportunities for all paddle board enthusiasts. Paddle board fans of any level of experience will be able to borrow and try out paddle boards.

Smart and inexpensive transport during European Mobility Week
16.9.2019 — European Mobility Week is the world's largest sustainable mobility campaign. The campaign, which has been held since 2002, will take place from the 16th to the 22ndof September. European Mobility Week is organised in dozens of European cities as an initiative of the European Commission. It aims to offer city inhabitants alternative modes of transport, and to show them ways to travel around the city quickly and cleverly.
24th Strings of Autumn Festival offers alternative concerts
7.9.2020 — Israeli bassist Avishai Cohen will launch the Strings of Autumn festival on the Lucerna Rooftop on the 11th of September, with up to 250 spectators. The capacity is limited to 250 spectators. Music lovers will enjoy Cohen's concert in an unusually intimate atmosphere, very different to the great halls where he usually plays. The charming environment on the Lucerna Palace Rooftop between the Prague towers offers a unique view of Prague's landmarks and makes the concert even more special.
Exhibition of Jan Saudek’s photographs in Malostranská beseda
12.7.2020 — Malostranská beseda has prepared a unique exhibition of photographs to celebrate the world-renowned photographer Jan Saudek's 85th birthday. Due to great popularity, the exhibition has been extended until the end of July. The exhibition includes 85 images from the artist's career, some of which have never been exhibited or published before. Saudek's correspondence and notes are also displayed.
Famous teacher and writer’s life story in comics
19.2.2020 — The National Pedagogical Museum hosts an interesting exhibition that tells the life story of Jan Amos Comenius (Komenský in Czech) in a unique way. The 'KOMenský v KOMiksu' ('Comenius in the Comics') exposition will be open in the museum building on Valdštejnská Street until the 31st of December 2020.

26.6.2020 — An internet portal www.vprazejakodoma.cz, which supports tourism in Prague, has been launched. The portal should reduce the negative economic consequences of coronavirus in the capital's tourism sector. The program will run from the 1st to the 30th of September 2020.
