‘Laboratory of Living Sentiments’ at Meet Factory
29.7.2019 — Until the 8th of September 2019, there will be an exhibition of videos, 'Laboratory of Living Sentiments' by the Polish artist Magdalena Lazar in the Kostka Gallery. The themes of the exhibition are sentiments and memories. The artist Magdalena Lazar was born in Poland in 1986. She works with animation, video, photography, installation and objects. Her favourite themes include the present versus the past, the experience of a lot of change over a short period, and initiatives related to a post-growth economy.

Christmas Night Run
25.11.2019 — On Saturday, the 14th of December 2019, the fourth annual charity Christmas Night Run will take place in the centre of Prague. This 5km-long race will start and finish in front of Rudolfinum at Palachovo Square. Both individual racers and teams can take part in the race, and as was the case in the previous years, there will be a special race for children.
Lower part of Wenceslas Square to be revitalised
23.11.2019 — In the spring of 2020, revitalization works on the lower part of Wenceslas Square will commence. Residents of Prague as well as visitors to the Czech capital can look forward to a brand new modern public space. A venue for cultural events, new boulevards and walkways are just part of the planned work on the square. Another part of the revitalization is the preparation fora possible tram line in the future. Work at the bottom of Wenceslas Square should be completedby the end of 2021.

Prague hosts unique photography festival
9.10.2020 — Fotograf Festival, which takes place in Prague until the 18th of October, is a festival of photography, which explores the relationship between contemporary art and photography. A series of exhibitions and film screenings in several locations in Prague will be organised, as well as lectures, debates with artists and performances. The motto of this year's festival is 'Uneven Ground'. Come to explore the unknown, the unexpected, the other. In eight connected exhibitions, organisers offer various perspectives, creating and examining connections between artists from different generations and places, as well as between photographers and their models or objects. In doing so, they connect not only one person with another, but also the known with the unknown.

Illustrators head to Prague
20.9.2019 — LUSTR, the international festival of contemporary illustration, takes place from the 19th to the 24th of September in Campus Hybernská. This year, the theme of the festival is freedom. The festival is an exhibition of current original illustration. Both the main and accompanying programmes point out key issues in today's society.
Tour Prague on a culture tram
15.6.2020 — A special 'culture tram' has begun touring Prague city. From the outside, the tram serves as a moving decoration for the streets of Prague, where it will ride through all year round; inside, it promotes various cultural events taking place in Prague. From time to time, events will also take place on the tram, which will be used as a mobile stage for concerts and theatre performances, or simply as a reading place. "Cultural life is finally slowly awakening after coronavirus. I am pleased that we can arrange cultural activities in this innovative way for the people of Prague too", Hana Třeštíková, Prague City Councillor for Culture and Tourism, said.
One World 2020 documentary film festival resumes
10.9.2020 — One World is an international human rights documentary film festival, which screens over a hundred international documentaries every year. Unfortunately, this year it was suspended mid-festival due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it will resume from the 11th to the 22nd of September, offering the films that were not screened in the spring.
