21.9.2016 — Od 26. září do 9. října se v Praze koná jubilejní 10. ročník mezinárodního festivalu architektury Architecture Week Praha 2016. Startuje nová sezóna historických tramvajových linek 41, 42 a autobusové retro linky K

22.3.2024 — Od soboty 23. března 2024 Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy (DPP) zahájí provoz historické tramvajové linky 41 a autobusové linky K. Obě budou v provozu o víkendech a státních svátcích do 17. listopadu 2024. Od stejného data, od soboty 23. března 2024 bude historická tramvajová linka 42, kterou společně provozují DPP a Prague City Tourism (PCT), opět jezdit každý den. Zájem turistů o ni roste. Za prvních 11 víkendů letošního roku na ní DPP a PCT prodaly dohromady téměř o 25 % více jízdenek než ve stejném období loňského roku.

Sculpture Grande již popáté ovládne metropoli

20.6.2007 — Již pátý ročník Mezinárodního festivalu Sculpture Grande 07 bude opět velkolepou show současného vizuálního umění, která na několik měsíců ovládne metropoli. Sochy a objekty – originální, šokující, odvážné, ale rozhodně nepřehlédnutelné, budou tentokrát rozmístěné nejen na Václavském náměstí, ale nově i v zákoutích staré Prahy. Tuto „galerii pod širým nebem“ navštíví miliony diváků procházejících největším pražským náměstím a centrem města. Sculpture Grande navazuje na výstavu před několika lety, kdy moderní sochy na bulváru Champs-Elysées představila Paříž. Na dny od 20. června do 30. září ji v Praze připravila Gallery Art Factory a tradičně zaštítil pražský primátor Pavel Bém.

Collection of Pablo Picasso's etchings that are exhibited for the first time in the Czech Republic

6.1.2019 — The extensive graphic collection Passion and Guilt by the famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso are on exhibit in Museum Kampa until the 15th of January 2019. The works, which were created in the 1930s, are on loan from the renowned Museo Reina Sofía (Queen Sofía Museum) in Madrid, Spain. They can be seen in the Czech Republic for the first time ever. The cycle is a collection of one hundred works that the artist compared to a diary, reflecting on his extraordinary life story.

Outdoor photo exhibition captures the beauty and ugliness of Wenceslas Square

31.10.2020 — 'Dvě tváře Prahy', meaning Two Faces of Prague, is a competition in which the participating photographers capture either the positive or the negative aspects of Prague. An outdoor exhibition of 23 winning photographs on large panels can be seen until the 5th of November in the pedestrian zone of Na Příkopě Street. The theme of 'Dvě tváře Prahy 2020' was Wenceslas Square and the surrounding area, and all types of photographers took part: adults, young people, children, keen amateurs and professionals. A total of 720 images were sent to the competition, the most in its eleven-year history.

Prague Castle displays newly purchased paintings by Kamil Lhoták

11.2.2019 — For almost 11 million CZK, Prague Castle Administration bought two paintings by the well-known Czech painter Kamil Lhoták (1912-1990). The paintings will be exhibited at the Picture Gallery at the 2nd Courtyard of Prague Castle until February 28th.
