29.9.2019 — Lunchmeat Festival, an annual international festival dedicated to advanced electronic music and new media art, will take place between the 30th of September and the 5th of October. This year, the tenth annual audio-visual festival will take place in four venues.

11.2.2019 — For almost 11 million CZK, Prague Castle Administration bought two paintings by the well-known Czech painter Kamil Lhoták (1912-1990). The paintings will be exhibited at the Picture Gallery at the 2nd Courtyard of Prague Castle until February 28th.

14.2.2018 — The Retro Gallery in Prague´s Municipal House prepared the largest retrospective exhibition of Kamil Lhoták´s paintings. They present her painter's work on a wide range of motifs and styles.

31.10.2020 — 'Dvě tváře Prahy', meaning Two Faces of Prague, is a competition in which the participating photographers capture either the positive or the negative aspects of Prague. An outdoor exhibition of 23 winning photographs on large panels can be seen until the 5th of November in the pedestrian zone of Na Příkopě Street. The theme of 'Dvě tváře Prahy 2020' was Wenceslas Square and the surrounding area, and all types of photographers took part: adults, young people, children, keen amateurs and professionals. A total of 720 images were sent to the competition, the most in its eleven-year history.

7.4.2019 — Until the 3rd of May 2019, in the Baroque Chapel of the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, you will have the opportunity to visit a photographic exhibition of the most renowned Italian photographers documenting the Italian landscape and its development from the 1950s to date.

11.6.2020 — The 'Bodaiju macuri' or 'Feast of Lindens', the Japanese celebration of spring, will take place on Friday and Saturday, the 12th and 13th of June, in Vyšehrad in Prague.

21.6.2019 — On the 22nd of June, the third annual 'Le Pavillon Français', will take place at the New Town Hall in Prague 2. Come to taste wines and delicacies, meet winemakers and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the wine festival organised by wine merchant Chez Greg.

18.2.2009 — Projekt Transparency bude obohacen o další světelnou instalaci. Vltavské ledolamy u Novotného lávky budou sloužit jako pozadí pro instalaci TACET, rakouské umělkyně Ully Rauter. Poprvé se instalace slavnostně rozsvítí v pátek 20. 2. v 19.00 hodin. Ojedinělý umělecký projekt Transparency si dal za úkol v rámci českého předsednictví v Evropské unii rozzářit svými barvami střed města a obyvatele Prahy i její návštěvníky seznámit se světelnými instalacemi dosud nevídaných rozměrů.

28.10.2019 — Nordic Days 2019, the tenth annual festival of Nordic culture, will take place from the 29th of October until the 6th of November in Prague. The festival will include films, a debate and even a guided tour. The theme of this year's jubilee festival, which presents significant cultural achievements in Scandinavian countries, is "journey", in all its different meanings.

16.3.2019 — Prague is preparing for greater St. Patrick's Day celebrations than ever before. The main attraction will be the festive parade on Sunday the 17th of March, which begins and ends in Campus Hybernská, where the other main celebrations will be held. According to the legend, Saint Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland, converted the people of Ireland to Christianity in the fifth century.

16.1.2019 — From the 15th to the 20th of January, Prague cinemas present a festival, which introduces some of the best current Iranian films. The festival, simply called 'Írán:ci' (Iranians), features films projected with English subtitles. It opens on the 15th of January at 8pm in the Lucerna cinema, with a dark comedy 'Pig', one of the most successful Iranian movies of the year. The director Mani Haghighi, whose movies 'About Elly' and 'Dragon Arrives!' were successful in previous years of the festival, will introduce the film.

7.8.2003 — Setkání novinářů s podnikateli o investicích v Praze 8, které za účasti ministra pro místní rozvoj Pavla Němce a primátora hl. m. Prahy MUDr. Pavla Béma pořádá konsorcium Investors for Prague 8, Praha 8, společnost Unilever a občanské sdružení Hestia, se uskuteční 14. 8. 2003 v 10 hod v nové budově Danube Hause, Karolinská 650/1 v Praze 8.

16.9.2020 — LUSTR 2020, the 7th annual international illustration showcase, will take place between the 17th and the 22nd of September. This year, LUSTR Prague will also include comics for the first time. More than 40 participants from all over the world will exhibit in Campus Hybernská, and the programme will also include lectures, workshops, a festival shop, refreshments, music and a programme for children.

19.2.2020 — On the 20th of February, Prague City Gallery will organise another of the accompanying programs to the exhibition 'Devětsil 1920 - 1931' - a screening of 'Kid', the historical Charlie Chaplin's movie.

25.11.2019 — Akcent International Theatre Festival, organised by Archa Theatre, is on until the 2nd of December. Theatre installations, interactive scenic events and productions of documentary theatre are all on the festival's programme. Archa Theatre has been organising the international documentary theatre festival Akcent since 2010. Their aim is to create a platform for art that crosses the boundaries between art, social issues and politics.

27.2.2019 — In the Arena Sparta Podvinný Mlýn in Vysočany in Prague, after two years, women will compete again in Judo for points to qualify for the Olympics at the European Open. The tournament is organised by the Czech Judo Union (Český svaz juda) and will take place on the 2nd of March 2019.

23.5.2020 — Prague Symphony Orchestra, also known as 'FOK', for 'Film-Opera-Koncert', is preparing the event 'Roušky se odkládají, salónky ožívají' ('Masks are put aside, halls are coming to life') in cooperation with the Municipal House. The event will make the reopening of the Municipal House a unique experience on the 25th of May from 6pm to 8pm. Halls that are usually accessible to the general public only on special occasions and with paid guided tours will come to life with free, short multi-genre concerts by Prague Symphony Orchestra's members.

30.4.2019 — Originating from a pagan feast, 'pálení čarodějnic' or 'čarodějnice' for short, a Czech version of Saint Walpurgis Night, has become a folk custom and tradition.

23.3.2019 — Prague City Gallery is preparing a very unusual concert. On the 26th of March in 'Dům U Kamenného zvonu' (The Stone Bell House) in 'Staroměstské náměstí' (Old Town Square), the British artist Lee Patterson will bring you the world of his art. This musician, sound artist and designer of experimental musical instruments could possibly be described as a sound sculptor. Patterson lives and works in Prestwich near Manchester, UK.

18.11.2024 — V jedinečných prostorách Clam-Gallasova paláce na Starém Městě se letos uskuteční vánoční workshopy, adventní koncerty a další akce pro malé i velké návštěvníky.

3.1.2024 — Hlavní město připravilo novoroční překvapení pro své obyvatele, kdy měli příležitost po celý první lednový den roku 2024 využít zvýhodněné vstupy na oblíbená místa v metropoli, která spravují městské organizace. A podle aktuálního vyhodnocení byl zájem Pražanů o akci značný. Jen do Zoo Praha přišlo téměř 13 500 lidí, přes tři tisíce jich dorazilo do botanické zahrady v Troji a další tisíce zamířily do střešovického Muzea MHD a pražských věží.

9.11.2017 — Od 18. do 23. listopadu 2017 bude Praha hostit neziskový kulturní festival Japan Week. Veřejnost tak může zdarma nahlédnout na tradiční i moderní japonskou kulturu a umění - od samurajské show a tradičních japonských bubnů, přes čajový obřad a aranžování květin, až po ukázku techniky japonské animace či moderního tance.
